Our Tambopata tour of 5 Days Takes you deep into the Tambopata National Reserve. It is a whole different world. You will be amidst the lush Amazon Forest surrounded by lush tropical jungle and wildlife.
Tambopata National Park is home to stunning oxbow lakes and macaw clay licks. It is the largest natural clay licks in the country. On this Tambopata eco tour, you can be certain to spot vibrantly coloured macaws and parrots who fly to the cliffs to feed on the clay rich in mineral salts.
Many environmentalists have mentioned that the Tambopata Reserved Zone’s diversity in wildlife is because of its location. It is located at the confluence of low land Amazon jungle and three other ecosystems.
Tambopata National Reserve houses some 13 endangered species. This includes giant otters, jaguars, giant armadillos and harpy eagles.
Machu Picchu Amazon Peru is a fully locally owned tour operator in Tambopata. We protect the endangered habitats in Tambopata for every tour booked with us which helps you offset your carbon emissions from travelling.
We also collaborate with the local communities deep in the lowland rainforest to overcome both social and economic challenges. All of our crew on Tambopata Adventure tours are locals. We support them by offering them opportunities as boat drivers, chefs and helpers.
Our excellent team of local guides are born and raised in Tambopata and are fluent in English. They are trained on first aid as safety is of utmost important to us.
Our local experts will be offering you many insights to the culture and wildlife conservation in your Tambopata Amazon Expedition. We work with some of the notable jungle lodges to offer you a comfortable stay during the experience.

From prebooking to guide service to accomodations and tour arrangements, Machu Picchu Amazon Peru was very consistent and efficient. Their crew took a great effort in making this tour a smooth and memorable one.
After touring Peru for a long time we were eagerly looking to spend some days relaxed. Amazon sounded perfect for us. We were convinced after reading reviews of this tour company and also found that the price was reasonable for what they included on the tour.
As we landed in Puerto Maldonado Airport, they had a representative waiting for us. He drove us to the starting point where we met our guide and the rest of the group to start this excursion. The journey was very nice. We had a nice room in a cottage amidst the jungle to ourself. The food was filling. They offered enough time gap to relax and unwind, the guide was nor pushy or rushed us
