Day 1: Cusco – Paucartambo – Bambu lodge

Day 2: Bambu lodge – Madre de Dios River– Soga de Oro lodge

We will begin our second day with breakfast surrounded by the Amazon’s vibrant sounds. The morning air will fill us with energy for the day ahead. Afterward, we will drive 20 minutes to Atalaya Port to start our river adventure.

Aboard a motorized canoe, we will sail along the Madre de Dios River for about 40 minutes. This river journey will reveal breathtaking landscapes filled with lush vegetation and wildlife. We might see capybaras, herons, and macaws along the way.

Upon arriving at Soga de Oro Lodge, we will settle in and enjoy a delicious Amazonian lunch. In the afternoon, we will explore the Machuwasi Lake on traditional wooden rafts. This calm waterway is home to black caimans, hoatzins, and other fascinating creatures.
